Murphy's Bar and Grill located on Merchant St. in downtown Honolulu raises thousands of dollars for Hawai'i charities with their annual St. Patrick's Day block party. But that's not all! Owner Don Murphy estimates the pub has raised about $3 million for charities over the past three decades. On St. Patrick's Day, Sunday March 17, Murphy's will open its doors at 11 A.m> for lunch in the restaurant and the parking lot across the street. From Noom until 3 P.M. they will have their "Keiki Fair" with lots of activities for kids to enjoy. And starting at 4 P.M. they will be blocking off Nuuanu Ave & Merchant St for the big block party! Children are allowed, however they do not recommend you bring them once the block party begins - it get's crowded! The block party will have food and beverage booths, and live music and DJ stages. They will even have 3 locations right outside the festival for LYFT drop offs and pick ups. Remember to celebrate responsibly!
Murphy's donates $2 per pound of corned beef sold throughout the week to benefit the Hawai'i Children's Cancer Foundation. In addition to their St. Patrick's day fundraiser, they also fundraise for Hawai'i Literacy and Ronald McDonald House.
