The land that makes up the Nuuanu neighborhood was once completely covered by taro fields and irrigation ditches, some of these ditches still run through the yards of the current residential properties. Everything that Nuuanu locals could ever need or desire can be found within a twenty-minute drive.
Close by, the Oahu Country Club features a beautiful golf course, complete with sweeping views of the Koolaus, Downtown Honolulu, and the endless stretch of ocean. This 100-year old club has been a staple of the community and an escape from mundane, daily living for many decades. The Club also features fine dining, a fully stocked fitness center, swimming pools, and is host to a plethora of social events throughout the year.
Nuuanu is also home to some of the most beautiful scenery and as such, plenty of natural trails fill and surround the community, perfect for taking in all the natural beauty of Hawaii. Some of the most popular trails include Nuuanu Trail, Lulumahu Falls, and Pauoa Flats Trail.
